The SPTL Committee have been reviewing our membership structure to better catering to families in our community. We’re pleased to share that from 2027, South Perth Toy Library will offer a new range of membership types including:

We hope that these options will better suit:

  • Families looking for an even better value access to our 800+ toys,

  • Those with limited capacity to volunteer, including weekend workers, single parents, FIFO families, and families caring for people with disabilities or complex needs,

  • Grandparents whose grandchildren only visit occasionally,

  • People looking to borrow toys & party kits for birthday parties or events,

  • Small businesses and professionals who can’t justify buying EVERY toy themselves.

Please note:

  • We are placing a cap on the total number of Non-Volunteer memberships available. This ensures we preserve enough volunteers to run our regular borrowing sessions.

  • To keep things fair for everyone, we will also be more consistent in following our processes for changing or missing volunteer shifts.

  • The Committee will review how these arrangements are working late next year and make adjustments based on member feedback and tier take-up.
